Does everyone remember what I said about Wappapello last month? About it
being hot?? Fishing-wise and weather- wise??? Do you remember the part about
those “DOUBLE LIMITS”???? Well, do ya???? Well, let’s just say it was
different this month at Truman. Temps were much cooler, with many of the new
(really sharp looking) club jackets being worn. The fishing got cooler also.
Our 22 boats (44 anglers) only brought in 26 fish for BOTH DAYS. That’s
pretty slim pickens for Truman.
Gary and Donnie Eubanks weighed in 2 fish each, and took First Place with
their 9.26 lb total. There was a tie for second place (more about that
later). Tony Pinson (fishing alone) weighed in 3 fish for 6.24 lbs. Terry
Stanek and Bob Treadway also had 3 fish for 6.24 lbs.
Fourth, Fifth and Sixth place teams each weighed one fish per team. Dave
Sona watched Neil Volkmann weigh in his 1 fish for 4th place. Tom watched
Mike weigh in the 5th place finisher, and Steve Carnal stood by as Brian
Ameiss weighed the 6th place fish.
Statistics Time: If you want to do the math, then figure 26 fish for 44
anglers fishing 12 hours each. That’s 528 angler-hours, or 20.3 fishing
hours per fish. You can also look at it as an average of .62 fish per person
for the tournament.
The Saturday Big Bass competition had a familiar name again. Donnie came
close, but didn’t get the cigar. Donnie’s 3.40 lb fish, and Brian Ameiss’s
4.04 lber were beaten by Mike McGraw and his 4.49 lber.
Sunday Pam Wakim brought up a nice 3.23 lb bass only to come in second to
Neil Volkmann’s 5.56 lb lunker. Neil also won the side pot of $110.00.

Rules Review: How do we handle ties?
When a tie happens between teams, we add the money together for the
positions tied for, and split it equally between the teams. In this case, we
added the 2nd place money ($144.00 for a 21 boat payout) and 3rd place money
($114.00) together which totaled $258.00. Then we divided that in half and
each team got $129.00.
Please note a couple of other statistical abnormalities this month. Because
there was a tie for second place, both teams that tied for second place get
second place POINTS, and there were NO third place points awarded. By the
way, before anyone asks, Tony DOES NOT get double points for fishing alone.

fixins were excellent. Those who were there, were all hoping that this will

Club Jackets
We know of 6 jackets that people want. If anyone else wants a jacket, please

Awards Banquet
Ok, we’ve baited long enough. The surprise for this years’ Awards Banquet is
that we will have a guest spe aker.
We are very pleased to have Missouri Pro Chad Brauer attending, and helping
present some of the awards. In addition
to his Bachelors Degree in Fisheries and Wildlife from MU, Chad's
accomplishments include being a past competitor in the prestigious
Bassmaster's Classic, and being a past qualifier for the BASS Top 100 Tour.
He has had several top 10 finishes, including a win at the 1996 Tennessee
Top 100 at Old Hickory Lake. More info on Chad, as well as lots of

Keep the date open. It’s, Saturday,
October 25th, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Washington, MO. Dinner,
