Big Winners
Wow!! 180 fish! That’s how many fish were weighed this weekend. Just about
everyone got in on the fun. The fish were in a post spawn pattern and were
willing to EAT. The father son team of Greg and Andy Shands made a run for
win Sunday and came up big. They had 10 fish Sunday alone, and a total of 13
for the weekend. With a total weight of 21.76 lbs. Greg that son of yours is
a fast learner before to long he’s going to want the front of the boat. Good
job Andy it looks like your getting some momentum for Angler of Year. Next
year I don’t think me and Bob will be showing you guys any more good spots.
These guys were throwing baby brush hogs. They took home $270 for first
place. Nice work guys.
Second place was Chuck Elders and Russ (Scott) Grobe. I don’t know which one
of these guys are hotter right now Chuck had 9 fish with one of them coming
in at 5.61 lbs. Which was big bass for the weekend and he took over the lead
in the Angler of the Year for now. Then you have Russ which has been in the
money in all 4 of the tournaments this year. This got big bass for the
weekend and the $120 side pot. They were throwing chartreuse wiggle warts
and white spinnerbaits. Together they had 12 fish for a total of 21.54lbs.
They took home $198 for second and $96 for big bass from the club. Good job
guys.
Third place goes to Steve Williams and Brian Schumacher. They were throwing
Gary Yamamoto Grubs. They had a total of 13 fish with a 4.05lbs kicker for a
total weight of 19.14lbs. For third place they took home $122. Good job
guys.
The other placing positions were as follows: 4th Lori Luzynski and Bob
Ray(18.63lbs) $86, 5th John Hawkins and Ron Hanephin (15.66lbs) $64, John
also had big bass Sunday weighting in at 3.07 lbs which got him $96. This
just barely bet out Daniel Lichius’ 2.95 lber good job Daniel. 6th Jeff
Tschannen and Scott Grobelny (15.47lbs) $54, 7th Paul and Sam Boehme
(13.40lbs) $50.
Next tournament is at Mark Twain June 4-5.

Fun Stuff
No censors this month please. Greg your of the hook this month. I don’t know
if everyone saw the message on the message board about John Luzynski winning
the BFL tournament. John used his patented Carolina Rig technique to win
over $2k at Lake of the Ozarks. And after this weekend he’s in 11th place in
the BFL standings. Keep up the great work John and good luck at the
regionals. Remember us little people that you uses to fish when you make the
big leagues. And did you see the magazine cover for Mid America Outdoors. It
has your model Bob Ray on it. Boy did you see the belly on that boy, and the
fish was big too. Sorry Bob.
