Big Winners
Jim Fanter and Bryan Walker, a.k.a. “Super Star” have definitely got something figured out about this lake in the fall. They not only won back-to-back tournaments this year, but they won this tournament last year also. After catching a double limit at Wapp, they came up one fish short of repeating that here. These two had a nice bag of 19 fish for a total weight of 27.14lbs. WOW! They were throwing the Bryan’s secret “Walker Jig”. Bryan didn’t want to tell us the color, but we squeezed him for it, and it’s white. Now everyone will be out buying white jigs tomorrow. They took home $350 for first place. Nice work guys.

Second place was Terry Stanek and Bob Treadway. After Saturday’s weigh in these guys had 20.59lbs and it looked as if the club record was going to fall at 33.82lbs. But Sunday the sun stayed behind the clouds and it was much tougher for them. They had 12 fish for a total weight of 24.09lbs. Terry said he had been catching nice fish since Wednesday on Black and silver rogues on the end of docks. For second they took home $246. Good job guys.

Third place goes to Russ Grobe and Bill Scheller. These two guys had 11 fish for a total weight of 20.93lbs. You know the fishing must be good if you catch 20+ lbs of fish and only come in third. Russ said they where catching them on white spinnerbaits. For third place they took home $152. Good job guys.

The other placing positions were as follows: 4th Terry Bost and Eric Neff (18.96lbs) $104, Terry also had Big Bass for Sunday with a nice 5.83lber. For this he took home $122 from the club 5th Lee Asher and Joe Arnold (17.57lbs) $80, 6th Rob Cook and Bob Ray (16.72lbs) $70, 7th Ron Hanephin and Joe Hagen (11.54lbs) $58, Ron also had Big Bass for Saturday and the weekend with a nice 5.83lber. For this he took home $122 from the club and $175 in the side pot. 8th Steve Carnal and Dennis Wentzel (11.44lbs) $50.

Next is our Awards dinner Oct 29, 4:00pm. Hope to see you there.

Special Thanks To:
We would like
to give a special thanks to Runaway II for all of their giveaways this year and for welcoming us every year.  Especially Brenda who went out of her way to make some of our members welcome. A special thanks to Lori Luzynski, Cathy McGarity, Dennis Wentzel and Craig Gravatte and everyone who helped out with the chili dinner.  I finally got some this year.

Who’s New?
Welcome new and past returning members.   Tim Jett, Don Taylor, Bryan Hulsey, Ty Kausch, and Bill Tierney.

Fun Stuff
After winning the spring tournament here John Luzynski and Dave McGarity figured they had a good chance to win this one too, and they did until the time ran out Saturday.  The story I got was that one of them mis-read his watch and you know the story from here.  But I’m thinking it was John’s row boat that couldn’t get them back in time.  So next time guys, buy a good fast boat, and come to the banquet.  We’re giving away good watches that are easy to read.  We will give you two an honorable mention for having over 24lbs of fish.  But you will have to talk to the treasurer to see what that pays.

Giveaways
In our last tournament of the year Runaway II gave a free nights stay for two, which went to Craig Gravatte.
